Our mission

There are over 2 million registered advocates in India navigating one of the most complex, high-volume judicial systems in the world. Yet global legal AI tools fail to understand the nuances of Indian law — they hallucinate citations, struggle with state amendments, and have no knowledge of the BNS transition.

Vakilat was built with one goal: deliver state-of-the-art legal AI natively trained on the laws, procedures, and precedents of India — so an advocate in Patna gets the same research quality as one at a Fortune-500 firm in Bandra Kurla Complex.

Why "India-first"?

Indian law isn't a plugin you bolt onto an American AI model. We built Vakilat from the ground up around three principles:

The Glass Box promise

Lawyers cannot rely on a black box that outputs text without explanation. Every feature in Vakilat provides transparent, deeply-linked reasoning that you can verify in seconds — a single click takes you from the AI's sentence to the exact paragraph in the judgment it used.

The team

We are practising advocates, AI researchers, and platform engineers. The founding team has filed in the Supreme Court and multiple High Courts, and has built production ML systems for Indian users at scale. We are backed by advocates we trust — and we review every model update before it ships.

Build with us.

We're hiring litigators, researchers, and engineers who care deeply about Indian justice infrastructure.
