2. Disclaimers for AI legal assistance

Vakilat.io is a legal research and drafting assistant. Outputs generated by our AI are provided for informational and drafting purposes only. The AI is not an advocate and its outputs do not constitute legal advice. As a registered professional, you remain responsible for independently verifying every citation, statutory interpretation, and argument before filing with any court or tribunal.

3. License grant and restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the platform. You may not reverse engineer the software, resell access to the API, or run automated scraping against our knowledge base or web interfaces without written permission.

4. Use of eCourts data

Case status and cause-list data displayed within Vakilat is sourced from public portals such as eCourts and NJDG. We make no warranties regarding the uptime of these government portals or the timeliness of their data syncing.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Vakilat to generate unlawful, defamatory, or misleading content; to impersonate a court officer; or to file output without human review.

6. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect.
